In January 2026 I encountered the power of the mountain olive tree. And something in me resonated.

The more intensively I engaged with its history and its special properties, the more strongly I felt connected to it.

A tree that remains rooted, steadfast and powerful for thousands of years, even on barren soil, with little water and under the most difficult conditions. And whose leaves carry such a precious cell elixir within them.

I recognised much of my own life story in it.

The mountain olive tree and I nourish each other.

Its power and its history have not only inspired me to take new paths. They have also led me back to my own roots.

My connection to trees goes far back into my childhood. The cherry tree near our flat was my favourite place. I picked its cherries and daydreamed leaning against its trunk. At the top of the tall fir tree by the stream I let the wind sway me back and forth. Pure freedom and adventure. 

The knowledge of the power of plants has also accompanied me since my childhood. My mum passed a lot of it on to me. An ancient knowledge of plants and herbs that is deeply rooted in our female line and has been passed down through generations. I have passed it on to my daughter.

The encounter with the mountain olive tree reminded me how much of this knowledge already lives in me. It inspired me to engage again, and even more intensively, with the wisdom of my female ancestors and the healing power of nature.

Old roots from which new paths emerge.

When Oliveda was presented to me as a business opportunity, I said no after careful consideration. My earlier experiences in multi-level marketing had made me cautious, even though working with the woman who had approached me appealed to me very much.
